JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Ariba Spend Management Resource
Location: Los Angeles, CA
We have a client in Los Angeles who need a team of Ariba consultants to assist them in an upgrade.
PROJECT: Ariba Spend Management upgrade.
DESCRIPTION: Technical upgrade of Ariba Spend Management from Service Pack 21 to version 9r1 in 4 of their 5 environments (Demonstration, Development, QA, Production). We would be upgrading the application layer as well as the application platform (Websphere).
The modules of ASM included are:
· Ariba Analysis
· Ariba Category Management (ACM)
· Ariba Data Enrichment (ADE)
· Ariba Enterprise Sourcing (AES)
The technical environment includes:
· Database: Oracle 9.2.0.6.0
· Operating System: IBM AIX 5.2 (Dev & Production)
· Application Server: IBM Websphere: 5.1.1.11
In addition, upgrade of ADE will involve migration of ADE (and the embedded weblogic application server) to a Windows platform (from Solaris platform). Client will be responsible for setting up the environment in the new application server but we would be expected to install ADE in the new application server.
Client also requires vendor to mentor in-house technical staff and provide training of the new features/functionality of 9r1 to in-house team.
According to the client, their specific Ariba system is not highly customized. It does not contain any core code changes to the software and we would not be responsible for upgrading any core code changes to the Ariba software.
